Scientific platform
One scientific question.
The right expertise around it.
Complex research questions rarely fit within a single experimental model, technology or laboratory.
MTTlab’s Scientific Platform combines our internal preclinical capabilities with selected technologies, scientific expertise and strategic partnerships to build integrated research programs around the needs of each project.
From advanced in vitro models and mechanistic investigation to in vivo validation, the objective is to connect complementary evidence within one coherent scientific strategy.

Why a scientific platform
The question comes first. The technology comes second.
Not every scientific challenge should be forced into the capabilities of a single laboratory.
A development program may require mechanistic investigation, advanced in vitro models, in vivo validation, specialized technologies or complementary analytical expertise.
Our approach is to start from the scientific objective and identify the combination of models and capabilities most likely to generate meaningful evidence.
When additional expertise is required, we integrate selected scientific and technology partners while maintaining continuity across the project.
One scientific partner
Different expertise. One scientific conversation.
Working with multiple laboratories and technology providers can create fragmented communication, disconnected datasets and uncertainty about how individual results fit into the broader development strategy.
MTTlab helps connect the different experimental components around the same scientific question.
We coordinate our activities with those of selected partners and interpret complementary results within a shared experimental framework.
For the client, the objective remains one coherent research program rather than a collection of unrelated experiments.

You should not have to coordinate multiple suppliers to answer one scientific question.
Core scientific capabilities
Complementary capabilities. Selected around your project.
The Scientific Platform starts from MTTlab’s experimental capabilities and expands when the project requires additional technologies or expertise.
MTTlab core capabilities
Preclinical In Vivo Research
Customized efficacy, pharmacology, pharmacokinetics, biodistribution, tolerability and selected disease-model studies.
Advanced In Vitro Research
Cell-based assays and advanced experimental systems designed to generate mechanistic and human-relevant information and complement in vivo research.
Translational Study Design
Scientific support for model selection, experimental endpoints and the integration of different approaches within a coherent development strategy.
Integrated specialist capabilities
Bioanalysis
Analytical capabilities selected according to study requirements, including pharmacokinetic, biomarker and biological-response assessment.
Histology & Pathology
Tissue processing and specialized histological, immunohistochemical and pathological evaluation when required.
Imaging
In vivo, ex vivo and specialized imaging approaches integrated according to the scientific objectives of the project.
Specialist expertise
Selected scientific and technology partners contribute complementary expertise according to project needs.
Strategic partnerships
Extending our capabilities through selected partnerships.
We do not believe that every technology needs to sit under the same roof. What matters is identifying the right expertise and connecting it effectively to the scientific question.
MTTlab therefore develops selected strategic partnerships with companies whose technologies and scientific capabilities complement our own.
These collaborations allow us to expand the experimental strategies available to our clients while maintaining a coordinated scientific approach.

IVTech – Advanced dynamic in vitro systems
MTTlab collaborates with IVTech to expand the development and use of 5D in vitro models within preclinical and translational research programmes.
These models combine a 3D cellular structure with a dynamic culture environment and cross-modulation between different tissues. IVTech’s fluidic technologies enable controlled dynamic culture conditions and can be integrated with cell-based assays, mechanistic investigations and, where scientifically appropriate, in vivo validation.

Read about the collaboration
MTTlab’s collaboration with DTI-Tech integrates target-identification, mechanism-of-action and drug-resistance modelling capabilities into preclinical research programs.
This creates the opportunity to connect mechanistic investigation with functional experimental validation and, when appropriate, in vivo translational proof of concept.
This integrated approach can help investigate not only whether a compound produces a biological effect, but also its potential target, mechanism of action and the biological pathways associated with resistance.
The DTI-Tech method and IFDREAM platform remain attributed to DTI-Tech.
Better integration creates more useful evidence.
Mechanistic studies, advanced in vitro models, in vivo validation and specialist analyses become more informative when they are selected and interpreted around the same scientific question.
A growing scientific network
Built around scientific value, not network size.
The MTTlab Scientific Platform is designed to evolve.
New partners, technologies and specialist expertise can be incorporated when they provide a meaningful scientific complement to our existing capabilities and create new opportunities for our clients.
We are not building a network simply to offer more services.
We are building the right network around the scientific question.
